"I Have Great Hope"

Trevor Patrick Yartz Jr.

Trevor Patrick Yartz Jr. went to his heavenly Father on July 19, 2024, surrounded by his family at home after a near two year battle with brain cancer. Fighting courageously until his passing at the age of 27. Trevor was laid to rest in Bemidji Minnesota on July 23, 2024. He was born February 3, 1997 to Trevor Sr. and Elizabeth Yartz with three younger siblings, Wyatt, Luke, and Abby. He grew up in Bemidji and received schooling at Heartland Christian Academy before being homeschooled, graduating Bemidji High School in 2015. He entered the workforce in multiple retail jobs and attended a semester at Northwest Technical College. Trevor was more than a working man. As an avid reader, he took pleasure in reading Tolkien's Lord of the Rings, C.S Lewis's Chronicles of Narnia, and so many other books. Trevor loved going to the theater as a passionate movie enthusiast, spending no short amount of time rewatching Star Wars at home, or gaming with friends. Trevor was a humble and tender man. A friend to many, Trevor held the highest of integrity surpassed only by his heart. He never missed a shift at work, never took vacation, or left his mom without a hug. Trevor was a beloved son, big brother, and a man of God, taking life as he went with resilience. Never complaining during his illness, he never doubted Jesus through it all. We celebrate his life, not his passing, for he lives in the memory of his friends and family; memory that overcomes any trial and hardship that would darken our thoughts with despair. He professed and lived with great hope and carried it till the end. A good and faithful man, now welcomed home.

Hope Beyond Measure

Do you know what it is to dream?

 To want something so much

That you would seem

Mad and such?

Everyday is a test.

Every minute a lighting bolt

That takes away rest

And gives a cold jolt.

But what else is there?

I don’t know.

All I know here

 Is what I’ve been shown:

Someone who faces death everyday.

He laughs, eats, hopes, and prays.
